NASIONALXPOS.CO.ID, TANGERANG – Brotherhood of Setia Hati Terate (SH Terate) Madiun Center again held the SH Terate Cup 2025 Martial Arts (Pencak Silat) Championship Banten, Central Representative (Perwapus) Cup. The event took place at the hermitage (padepokan) SH Terate Tangerang Regency Branch on February 21-23, 2024, where is followed by 805 athletes from 36 branches and 4 SH Terate branches throughout Banten Province.
The opening of the event was conducted by the Chairman of SH Terate Madiun Center, Drs. R. Moerdjoko Hadi Wiyono. In his remarks, he appreciated the efforts to foster the achievements of athletes who continue to be carried out by the Perwapus SH Terate Banten Province.
“I really appreciate the efforts of Perwapus SH Terate Banten which intensively and continuously foster athletes’ achievements. I hope there will be many new seeds and outstanding athletes who are able to make SH Terate, Banten Province, and the State of Indonesia proud at the national and international levels,” hoped Drs. R. Moerdjoko.
Meanwhile, the chairman of Perwapus SH Terate Banten, Dr. Didik Mukrianto, emphasized that this championship is not only about physical and technical competition, but also as a means to strengthen brotherhood and build the morals and character of the younger generation.
“I hope, this championship can be a means for all of us to strengthen the bond of brotherhood and deepen the understanding of the values in pencak silat, including sportsmanship and fairness,” said Dr. Didik.
Vice Chairman III of the Indonesian Pencak Silat Association (IPSI) Banten, H. Misnan, SH, who also attended the opening, conveyed the importance of SH Terate’s role in providing strong athletes for IPSI Banten.
“This is a challenge as well as a great opportunity for me and IPSI to produce more pencak silat achievements for Banten. The more athletes from various competitions, including from SH Terate, the more achievements that can be achieved by IPSI Banten,” said H. Misnan, who is also a SH Terate resident.
In addition to opening the SH Terate Cup 2025 Championship, Drs. R. Moerdjoko also inaugurated the “Silate” application training workshop. This training was attended by all SH Terate Center Representatives and branches from Banten Province, Jakarta, West Java, as well as Sumatra and West Kalimantan regions.
The “Silate” application was developed by the SH Terate Central Board to become a source of information on SH Terate activities throughout Indonesia and abroad, as well as a complete and measurable database of organizational and membership management.
This championship is expected to not only increase competition between athletes, but also strengthen friendship and positive values in pencak silat. (red)
