News circulating in the community that the Gianyar Regency Government will provide grant assistance with a fantastic value of Rp15 billion and 1 unit of luxury car to the Bali Provincial Police, Wednesday (3/1/2024).
The information blows among the community when the social assistance grants facilitated by the Regional Representatives Council (DPRD) of Gianyar Regency for some applicant communities are still unrealized.
Hearing the existence of these grants, DPRD member from the Democratic Party Ida Bagus Gaga Adi Saputra who is also the Vice Chairman of the Gianyar DPRD admitted that he was surprised and did not know about it.
“Ah, where did you get the information? As far as I know, several times I participated in working meetings with the Pj Regent and his staff, the issue was never discussed. Try to confirm with the Pj Regent. Sorry, I really don’t know,” he said, who is familiarly called Gus Gaga.
While the chairman of the NGO Garda Tipikor Gianyar Regency Pande Mangku Rata said, in connection with the discourse of the Gianyar Regency Government will provide grant assistance of 15 billion with 1 unit of Fortuner car to the Bali Police, in my opinion, yes, it is valid, as long as it is wrapped with instruments or rules that apply.
“Of course the hope is that the grant will be utilized to support Polda activities and there is no charge whatsoever. However, it would be nice if the social assistance for the community becomes a priority scale in accordance with the principle of justice, so that our beloved Gianyar is serene and peaceful,” said Mangku.
