NATIONALXPOS.CO.ID, JAKARTA – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) emphasized that a President is also allowed to campaign during elections. In addition, Jokowi said that a President may also take sides with certain candidate pairs.
“The President is allowed to campaign, the President may take sides, it is allowed,” Jokowi said at Halim Air Force Base, Jakarta, Wednesday (24/1).
However, he said the important thing is not to use state facilities. This is because public officials are also political officials.
“But the most important thing during the campaign is not to use state facilities,” said Jokowi.
“We are public officials as well as political officials, politics is not allowed, it is allowed. Ministers are also allowed,” he continued. (Red)
