NASIONALXPOS.CO.ID, BALI –The aim of KLF was to lead people into such a heightened state of bewilderment and confusion that their rigid beliefs would shatter and be replaced by some form of enlightenment. John Higgs, KLF: Chaos Magic Music Money Rumah Tanjung Bungkak will host an engaging series of discussions about the UK band “The KLF” on July 23, 2024, with the event “Mumuland Up Close.” Starting at 19:00, this event promises a unique and inspiring experience featuring various elements of art, fire and music that revive the legendary legacy of The KLF, the UK’s band in the 90s with over 6 million record sales.
What is Mumuland, This event serves as a pre-event for the grand theatrical spectacle to take place @RTB on August 23 “Mumuland Bali”. Mumuland evokes the spirit of Ancient Sundaland, described by some archeologists as the true location of the legendary lost continent of Mu.
Mumuland will be a festival like no other seen before in Bali, with over 23 different activities to appeal to all audiences! Mumuland is in fact 4 Festivals in one :
1) Body Space (10h00 – 17h00)
Mumuland is ideal for families and kids of all ages. There will be entertainment, art and dance workshops all day including Horse Riding, Archery, a Treasure Hunt (First prize is a Gold Coin !), Disco Football (not to be missed!) and the chance to perform on the main stage.
2) Energy Space (15h00 – 20h00)
Mumuland will also pay tribute to the Balinese values of WALA, BEBALI and BALI
BALIHAN with groups arriving from remote villages all over Bali to perform, many of
whom have never been to Denpasar before.
3) Heart Space (17h30 – 19h00)
As the sun sets Mumuland will become a Heart Space with blessings from 3 pedandas and 20 Mangkus (23) and a beautiful Sound Healing session from Agustian of Yoga Barn, Ubud.
4) Rave Space (20h00 to late!)
At 8pm Mumuland will be transformed into a replica of an early 1990’s Rave Warehouse
with a great line-up of DJs, Rap, Death Metal, a Drag Queen, GoGo dancers and much,
much more !!! What is the KLF.
This Tuesday July 23 the short film “Who Killed KLF” will be screened, taking the audience on an in-depth journey into the history and legacy of Mumuland, The KLF, and the KLFRS Bali Team all known for their controversial media stunts and chaos magic philosophy. You will also get chance
to find out why the number 23 is so important to the KLF, and your first clue in the Mumuland.
Treasure Hunt, The KLF Reenactment Society (Bali Chapter) is part of a global movement dedicated to promoting
the K Foundation, an art foundation established by The KLF, and the controversies surrounding it. On Aug 23 the Mumuland Festival will be Livestreamed globally with drop in performances from
KLFRS UK, KLFRS France, KLFRS Sweden and KLFRS Papua, making it a truly international event.
Speakers from Rumah Tanjung Bungkak, Antida Music Production and special guest, The Right Honourable Ambassador of Mumuland, will explore various surreal stories about festivals and unique events they have created over the past 30 years.

sound healing, horse riding, archery or just want to dance to some of the most iconic EDM music of the 1980s then there will be something to capture your imagination at Mumuland. The KLF, or The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu, are art icons who have left a profound mark on the world of music and visual art. Through “Mumuland Up Close,” participants can immerse
themselves in the mysterious and creative chaos crafted by The KLF, and understand how their bold and controversial actions have influenced controversial actions have influenced contemporary art both in Bali and globally.
Entrance by Donation, This event is a rare opportunity to enjoy an evening filled with entertainment and inspiration at Rumah Tanjung Bungkak. Visitors are invited to directly experience the wonder offered by
“Mumuland Up Close.” On July 23 entrance is free for all artists and musicians, but we will be asking people to make donations to support our Production crew of over 60 Indonesian artists, mostly from remote villages.
