NATIONALXPOS.CO.ID, BALI – The Ekajaya Matra Ferry finally made its maiden voyage to coincide with the 16th anniversary of PT Bali Eka Jaya Group. The launching event of this international standard luxury ship was held in Senggigi, Lombok, Friday (19/7/2024) by inviting travel agents, and tourism players. The Ekajaya Matra ship, which is designed very luxuriously, will operate for the first time on Saturday (20/7/2024).
The activity, which took place from morning to evening, began with a trip from Serangan and then transit in Padangbai then headed to Senggigi Lombok. Traveling using Ekajaya Matra is quite fast with only a distance of approximately 1.5 hours.
The interior inside Ekajaya Matra is very well designed with advanced facilities such as complete and modern safety and comfort facilities such as Cabin AC, LED TV, spacious and comfortable seating and sun deck for guests who prefer to sit outside the cabin to sunbathe and enjoy the music.
Ekajaya Matra, is the latest fleet owned by PT Bali Eka Jaya in addition to the 3 fast boat fleets currently in operation. Ekajaya Matra also has modern features with advanced technology, with a length of 39.70 meters and a width of 7.20 meters, it can accommodate a passenger capacity of up to 260 people and travels at a maximum speed of 40 knots.
General Manager of PT Bali Ekajaya Group, I Ketut Sugita explained, Ekajaya Matra will serve Padangbay -Gili Trawangan – Sengigi – Padangbai trips. And 3 more ships serve the Padangbai -Gili Trawangan – Gili Meno-Gili Air- Bangsal-Padangbai trip. then one ship with the Serangan-Nusa Penida-Lembongan-Padangbai trip.
“For the time being the rates are still the same as the existing ships, there is no difference in price from the old ship to the new ship. And we hope that the enthusiasts are local tourists. For business competition is extraordinary, the name business must have competition, we anticipate by providing good and complete facilities and passenger comfort during the trip. Because there are 18 businesses like this, hopefully we will win this competition,” Sugita said.
One of the invited travel agents, I Wayan Darta, owner of Mandiri Tourist Service, admitted that he was very happy that Ekajaya added a new, larger fleet with good facilities.
“I have been working with Ekajaya for a long time since they had a small ship. During my cooperation with Ekajaya Ferry, my guests have never complained, they are very comfortable, the price offered is also cheap compared to others, the distance traveled is also much faster,” said Darta.
